To the original poster: You are definetly not alone. I recently befriended a couple who are in an "open" marriage. They have the steady home life, with a child, but they both go on dates. I just don't think monogamy is feasible for some people (I am starting to think I am included in that category). Did you ever think about trying an open relationship? At least bringing it up? I do wish you luck...sometimes you can have a great bond with someone, but still need the "spice". Just like the one poster said, just be careful.
