Noticed COBB came out with a pretty nice intake, I remember them saying there is nothing wrong with the stock airbox and none of their maps would support one. Anyone know anything about future maps supporting their new intake, its kinda odd they frown upon using a aftermarket intake but they go head and make one themselves?

185 bucks not bad...

They made it because everyone was demanding one. According to Cobb's website, their intake was carefully designed to mimic the functions of the stock airbox. In short, you'll use the standard maps.

Well, I baught one to test it out. I asked Trey a few questions after I purchased it and he basiclly said it was for people who wanted it either for sound or for future use in a frount mount setup and did not have to worry about the lean conditions due the the precise diameter and shape of the intake. I will be going front mount soon and probably picking up a street tuner. I love my accessport but I dont want to be limited to a topmount due to lack of support.
