So as the title says, gonna have to change my avatar. Sold my DSM yesterday, got a pretty penny for her too . Now im gonna start over with a new ride,..

Gonna go look at an Integra tomorrow,.. 2000, dont know if its a GS-R or a GS, my landlord buys and sells cars like crazy,.. he buys 'em at auctions from estate sells and crap like that, but he's gonna throw me a good deal on it,.. like 4k or less 120k miles, .. gonna have to see it though, so any JDM'ers out there with any advice? Been Googl'n like crazy about B18's & B16's jus lookin for some peeps that have some wrench time under the hood of a few hondas to let me know if its worth gettin it if it's jus an GS/LS.

any 2000 integra for under 4k is worth it. Even if its an ls, the options are endless. For the normal price of a car like that, you could have your car, and do an ls-vtec or a gsr swap or anything really.

Put on some nasty wheels, slam it, paint it, Kseries. Goodnight.

Either way, start with suspension and wheels. Take the extra time to look into what you want to do as far as performance goes and choose carefully.

Get a brake upgrade, some nice tires, and see if you can get together an LS/V turbo or a turbo GSR... I've driven a turbo B18C before and goddamn that thing was straight up savage power, but it was surprisingly controllable.

my friend has a 96 coupe with a b16 swap, custom turbo kit pushing 5psi. Put down 217whp....pretty impressive if you ask me.

5psi, what's the point?

Coming from experience. Honda's and boost go along very well with each other, but at the same time you have to address every aspect of the car all at the same time. So if you're going to do it, you're going to need to research it a lot.

the point is to have a decently quick car without having to address everything that goes along with wanted 15psi. Not everyone wants 12's.

UPDATE...

Just bought a 98 Prelude SH, .. all stock so a good base to start/build from, .. going to build/re enforce the suspension/brakes first, then start with engine work, dont quite know where im headed yet with the engine thats why im going to wait a bit for it.

Lookin into gettin the wings west lip kit to add some dimension to the car. I saw white tail lights on a 99 and it is beyond me where to buy em from, so it looks like ill get a pair of OEM tails and DIY to take out the red/orange color...

The "orange" color is mostly the bulb. You'd have to replace it with a clear looking one, but of course that will no longer pass inspection. You may have a small orange relfector in there too, but that's easy to take out. Just need to pop the taillight off, bake it, pull it apart, and pop it out.

Have fun with it, they're indeed good cars. I'd suggest not boosting it however, they're a PITA as far as that goes.

well as far as inspection goes, i dont have to inspect it.. out of state Veteran plates.. i dont even bother registering my cars in PA, one of the good things about being in the military nowadays.

are you serious?.. i figured it would take a heat gun and like 1-2 hours of slowly prying it apart...

baking is the easiest and quickest way to go when taking apart head or taillights

personally i would of gone wit the teg and swapped the trans instead of a lude. those things are so heavy and tiny inside

all the tegs i saw were beat to hell,. inside and out... this lude was the cleanest ride i saw and the price was right...
