View Full Version : Vacation idea's?
So I have some vacation time coming up soon (after 4 years...finally), and my friends and I have no idea what to do or where to go. So anyone have any ideas? Here's the stipulations though:
-We enjoy driving way to much, so it'll have to be at least SOME measure of reasonable driving distance...
-We arn't 21, so any place thats bar filled is out
-We're pretty poor.
So anywhere that is cheap, kinda close, and fun that we could go to for a week?

Ontario is 10 times better.
When I was younger I always prefered the tent and lake atmosphere with beer and fishing with freinds...especially if you are on a budget and have access to the gear. Nothing like a bonfire.

lol, you're not 21 and you're complaining about no vacation in 4 years? Just wait till you get into the world of full time employment and deadlines.

Road Trip to the Florida Keys... Take a tent and camp it- the views are wonderful the chicks are hot, and the bars- well you need to be 21. It is a little hot this time of the year though, not as hot as it is up here, but still not cool.

Eh, being in school full time and having a near full time job though I think is pretty damn close.
I just need to get outta here before I beat someone with screwdriver.
We were looking at OC, MD for a little, thats an option. While we prefer a beach, Canada is deff enticing thanks to the legal age.
Bah. I hate choices...

You can find some pretty cheap houses to rent by owner..I have used this webpage to find places 3x in the past, (Mass, NC, and WV)

I couldn't agree more. I went to college in Buffalo and spent a lot of time in Toronto. Queen and King St. all the way. WAY better than Montreal...(as I've been to both).
Went to Montreal F1 weekend. Nightlife was very meh. We were on a street many people reffered to as Canada's Bourbon St, I would not drive 8 hours to go there, unless of course you were seeing F1 cars.

I'm going to Wildwood, NJ the middle of next month for a week with my son and girlfriend. That place is always a good time.
Actually it might look into no vacation this year...and just dumping money into the 240. I think I would be ok with that, even though its not a vacation...
