I cant Believe this Past Tuesday Night the 17th at 7:00pm i made one of the biggest steps i could ever make in life and I am damn proud. I graduated high school. and iam so happy that i have gotten this far and never though last night would come soon enough. I am probably one of the happiest person's right now and i feel damn good. i never though id ever make it. now i must take another big step on what to do next. bring myself into the real world or go to college. very big decision right there. I sure hope whatever decision i make i hope its the right choice. I would like to also congratulate any one else on here that recently graduated from high school or college. or what it may be. I will know that even though iam happy now ill be wishing i was back in high school soon enough because it only gets tougher.

congrats man. whatever you do just do it well and be happy. Personally I would recommend going to college, but it all depends on what avenue of life you wish to take. Good luck with everything.

WOOHOO! congrats on HS graduation, i just graduated college! Hey man you know if theres something you really feel you can see yourself going an doing the rest of your life deffinately go to college, or get some sort of certification for it. I found college as a huge stepping stone into real life. I found that people i knew that didnt go to school or choose to, regret it or made alot of wrong choices down the wrong path and had to start over. But hey who knows heading right out into the "real world" work life doesnt always hurt man. Some people make it big by the smallest decision. Good luck in anything you choose to do!

Congrats man. Judging by the fact you didn't have anything lined up already, I take it you're pretty unsure on what you do with your life. Unless you want to go into a very specific thing (mechanic, construtction, trade school type things) I'd recommend taking some time and looking over your opportunities at school. What do you like to do? What makes you happy. Could you see yourself doing something for quite a few years of your life.

The economy isnt the greatest right now and alot of places require a degree to get anywhere . School could take 4 years and maybe the job market will be better then. Plus college is the LAST time that all you have to worry about school work and then u have to start worry about REAL things  It's a time to have fun and make lots of friends and party (yes i said it) while figuring out what to do with yourlife.( just make that the most important goal). TONS of people change majors and dont end up doing anything like what they originally thought. Better to find out now then later, and if you pick a good school that matches your interests you'll be presented with tons of oppurtunity aftewards. REMEMBER, party hard but work just as hard

Yes This has been one of the most meaningful times in my life. Yes i plan to go to college but at the same time i dont really know. i never really liked school and i didnt have the greatest grades either i didnt even take the SAT's or ACT's for educational purposes. yea it sucks but thats something iam going to have to work through. My plan is if anything ill either go to Mercer County College for a year or 2 or go to Berkeley College up in White Plains NY. i really want to be away from home i spent 17 years of my life in Jersey and quite frankly nothing has really changed. i plan to go to a 2 year college and then transfer out to High Point University in North Carolina to either study Criminal Justice or Communications. My Original Plan was to skip college for a year and Buy another car or something cheap as a project car. but then i realize theres more important things in this world besides cars and of coarse you have to money to get what you want and its not always good to live off of 7.50 an hour thats just aint gonna cut it. It barely does it for gas these days.

i'm not your dad but get your priorities straight. taking a year off from school to work on a car is really stupid. it sounds like you're not going that route though. good luck with whatever you do bro and congrats.

awesome man congratulations! Its weird to think I've been outta school for a year already. My cousin just graduated also. I personally didn't go to college, and at this point I'm not really sure what would have been better. I mean, I have a decent job that I like, but at the same time I wonder what I COULD have done had I gone to college. Its your choice man, but no matter what you do, college is always a good thing to have under your belt. It just shows you have commitment to what your doing no matter what it is. Good luck man, and again, congratulations!

Go To College

CONGRATS, My lil cousin just graduated too!

If your not sure about school stay local, go to Mercer (I know hanging with your 'rents sucks, but financially its sound). And DO NOT take out student loans unless your sure you will follow through and get your degree. College will definitely open doors for you, but it doesn't work for everyone. There's nothing worse then finding out your not in to what your studying and ending up with 30 grand of student loan debt.

If your good with your hands check out your local electricians / carpenters / mechanical Union. You won't become a millionaire but you can become quite comfortable. I'm not a Union guy at all, but starting rate out of the Trenton locals is better then Philly, and the benefits are great. Picketing sucks, sitting in a hall sucks, but if you prove your worth the money, and get in with a good shop you won't need to worry about that.

OR- If you can grab a job on the NJ taxpayers dime, hit that up; it will pay off hugely when you retire compared to just about any other company.

Congrats dude.... it never really sinks in until AFTER it happens. Wait until college graduation..... its nuts.

And FocusDude has some good advice. Stay with a local college for now, and if you REALLY like it, then take it to the next level. Believe me when I say this, there are times where I wish I never left DE. Financially, it's tougher then anything else I've ever done. But was it worth it...... Yes.

Real world = minimum wage **** jobs that you hate.
Figure out what you like doing and go to school for it.
