Does anyone have any connections for a band experienced in playing weddings that they can send my way? I'm looking at an April '09 wedding at the moment. I've contacted several and they're all looking for $5k-$10k for 5-6 hours....no thanks. :bigeek:
Let me know if you know of any good bands that I can contact. Thanks!

Damn, I can get Vanilla Ice to play for less.
Seriously though...Everywhere I read says bands run $1500-$3500 for a reception. I can't find a single one that falls into that range. Maybe it's the area???

Hey man,
Little Buddy (http://www.littlebuddy1.com/index2.html)
Contact Mark. He is one of the most stand up and nicest guys I have ever met in my life. My dad has been friends with him for YEARS, and I had him play at my graduation party in 05, and my dads 40th last year, and I plan to have him play a party this summer. I don't know his rates because my dad usually talks to him about it, but I'm sure it's not as expensive as the other bands you have been getting. He is a blues cover band and he absolutely RIPS on the guitar. He will totally make your event fun man..... Seriously one of the best guitar players in the area, and he always has a good band backing him. I'll post a video from my dads party in a little while just to give you an idea. I can't say enough about him.
Or I would also recommend The Rigbees (http://www.rigbees.com/)
They are a little more mainstream, and I would guess that they are going to be a little more expensive. But again, super stand up guys and they again, will make your party fun. Very good music. If you get a big price, I would be more than happy to cash in a favor to get you a good deal. But of course, I'd have to be invited lolz. Nah I'm just kiddin. But let me know.

Hey Ryan....i'm looking for a band that can play a wide array of music. 70s, 80s, 90s, some current. The main thing is i'm looking for a band that can keep the party going.

i wish you the best of luck finding a band for $1500-3500 lol. my fiance and i have everything booked for our wedding already (thank god) and the band we're using will run us ~$6500 for 6-7 hours and they're a 15 piece band
if you think bands can get expensive, you're in for a heart attack when you see the cost for flowers :bigeek:
