Have a few questions about a ticket not addressed in the stickies.

I got a ticket yesterday for driving an unregistered vehicle. The car is my dad's and I just needed to borrow it because mine car is in need of some work and I guess my dad forgot to renew the registration. But anyways, I got the ticket and the Officer was pretty cool about it I just need to know if that'll always be on my record. IE if a cop asks me if I've ever gotten a ticket before should I tell him about that one or does it not show up when they search my driving record? Thanks

That summons will be part of your driving record and if your asked say on a job Application or if your joining the military you should report it. Its a very minor violation and should not be a problem for you. Frankly your dad should go to court with you and have the summons issued to him since its his car and you were not aware of the violation when he loaned you his car.
