So some lady at my work yesterday was talking to me about Macs and she said she got her MacBook Pro from one of those freebie online things. She said she used her tax rebate money from the government to do all of the offers she had to do to get it and her MBP just came in last week, no BS. Said she ended up spending like 50 bucks (that was pretty much free money anyway), canceled everything already, and got a bunch of DVDs for cheap too from one of the offers.

Has anyone else heard of this actually not being a total ripoff? I am too much of a wimp to try it but she was pretty smitten with the result. :cyberguy:

i got a free ipod way back when for jumping through some hoops. it takes some effort but they're out there. with that said a lot of them ask a lot of you and you have to get a lot of other people to sign up, etc.

yeah, i've heard of this working before too but apparently it takes a pretty good amount of time and effort to go along with it.

Yeah I mean an iPod I can understand but a $2,000 laptop is kind of intense. Good for her definitely but idk if I am willing to do it lol.

make a few gmail account, have a few hours set aside to fill out forms, and hope none of the sites you give a credit card to are scam sites.
