So I just finally got a new phone today, LG Voyager. I bought a 1GB micro memory card with it. All that is fine, uploaded a song to the card using the program on the CD Verizon Wireless gave me.

Here are my two issues with it though...

When I go to Settings>Memory>Card Memory it shows the options to click of:
Memory Usage
My Pictures
My Videos
My Music
My Sounds

The one song I uploaded shows up.

But now I am curious, how do I make that song into a ringtone, or rather, just upload a ringtone to my memory card?

Or on top of that, how do I upload a picture to my memory card?

I tried just dragging a picture to the icon on My Computer for my phone and it went into the Card Memory folder, but then when I looked on my phone it wasn't there.

I'm new to this whole snazzy phone thing, can anyone help please?

Verizon doesnt allow you to use your songs as ringtones, because they want you to buy them.

Their uploading software is crap too, just use windows media player.

make sure you have the card formatted on the phone first. Usually you can drag and drop pictures in the my pic folder. as stated, you can't use songs as ringtones but you can create your own and if you have unlimited txt you can email them to yourself and save as a ringtone. also if the latest Bitpim supports the voyager, you can connect it through via bluetooth or usb cable and drag ringtones in the appropriate folder. do the last one with caution and do not delete files you dont know what they do as it can crash the phone.

That's what I did with my Helio Ocean.. works well.

you can text them or if you don't have unlimited texts, if you buy the media package or w/e it's called (the thing with the usb cord) you can edit the songs down to approx. 30 sec or so with audacity and then upload them onto the phone with bitpim. Both free applications. So once you upload like 20 ring tones, the usb cord paid for itself.

Someone mentioned to me Bitpim but I'm not that desperate that I'm going to 'mod' or whatever they call it the phone.

Bitpim just accesses folders that you can't normally access. Not really modding anything.
