a couple people have expressed some interest in leading this the past couple of days, so i dont know how things will end up, but one thing i ask: if you step up to do this, do it. a lot of people will be relying on you and looking forward to the finished product, so if there's any doubt in your mind that you wont be able to get the job done, please do not take on the responsibility.

I don't know if this helps.
LS1Tech makes a thread for car selection. Meaning people submit pics of their car and whoever is in charge makes the selection.
If there are going to be women in the pictures, they submit the pics of them too.

The selection comittee pm's the winners of the 12 months and the cover and then select back-ups as well. Usually the back-ups are used for the following year, but they explain that to the "runner-ups"

The committee tells them what they expect. IE photos shot in raw etc etc. And how the pics should be delivered IE on a card, on a cd etc.

The winners send the pics then the comittee gets the pics to where they want to and then they submit um to a printer.

If I do decide to head this up, this is the way that it will be done. I think trying to get 12 cars, people, photographers all in one day with different locations and decent weather would be a pain if not near impossible...

I think it would be easier and much more feasible to have a deadline that pictures will be submitted by. Specifying format, size, guidelines, etc.

If this gets moving, I can offer 2 free photo shoots to anyone in the Lancaster area or willing to drive to the Lancaster area for the calendar and only for the calendar. I have two openings in my schedule, August 3 and September 27.

What i meant was the cars submit to be judged. The pics they submit are not in the calendar. They have to get other shot. You over-pick to make sure that if someone submits crap to the person running the calendar you have more options.

This way each car selected doesn't have to work around a photographer. Or if it rains etc. You can pick out a location do your shoot submit the photos to who's doing the calendar. Have the photographer shoot them in raw and you can do what you want with the pics.

Only reason I sugest this is other car sites do it this way and it works. I've seen it with one photographer or location or group etc and it turns into a Cluster-Fk Plus you got guys from NY to VA to choose from. So there isn't a long drive involved

I Can Start Another Thread and Give it A Week for People to Post up there Cars/Bikes/Trucks they want to enter than after that I can Sort through them all and Post up a Poll with everyone that entered...Figure you leave the Poll up for a week...Boom theres your 12 Candidates...That gives you something more to work with knowing what 12 vehicles we want to use...And I agree not EVERY month needs to have a girl with it...Maybe start another thread on Girls who want to model for the calender then once the vehicles get picked they can coordinate with what cars they would like to model on and speak with the respective owners to set something up??

If you think you are being "shut down", it is not the case. The photos need to be taken in a certain format that is compatible and suitable for this calender. We could take photos from everyone who does a "shoot" but the overall quality of the calender will be trash. If it is going to be done with TST's name on it, it needs to be done right.

If you are serious about doing it then your best bet would be to contact one of the staff here and see what needs to be done to have a picture that can be considered for the calender.

i think maybe some group shots would be cool to include... like a bunch of dsm's one month and a bunch of domestics... then a bunch of hondas and a bunch of subarus... you could get more people's cars in there from doing that as well..... just a thought
