Is this a brand new setup or did you pick it up used? Aquariums are awesome.

Nice, I agree free ftmfw! Even though the setup is used I wouldn't be suprised if the water got cloudy within the week. Not a big deal.

How big do those turtles get?

bacteria bloom is standard in a new tank, ive already got a basic bacteria starter going so when it occurs it should dissapate quickly.

the other tanks are the feeders and my 125 gal which has a clown knife, red tail shark, 3 tin foil barbs, and 5 tiger barbs

they were like two years old lol. those things are awesome
i used to feed mine pinkie mice every now and then
your water level looks a bit high
they may be to close to the light

i have a small hood light with uv bulbs. it is about 9-10 inches away from the light and the rock is right about 85 degrees, so I think its pretty good. I had to fill it up that high for the filter I have right now, and from what I've read turtles spend most of there life in the water so i figure more is better. down the road i may add a top tank just for basking, i have seen some cool setups like that.

that sounds nasty, the top tank. Ive never seen that kind of set up before. Pretty nifty turtles though! Myrtle and special cody ftmfw!

They will get much bigger than 6-9 inches. I have had mine for less than a year, just put them in a 20 gal tank and they are both already 4 - 5inches. They get as big as their surroundings let them. 60 gal...your turtles will be ginormous!

You should have brought home the TST turtle.

Our red eared slider was not even 3" shell length when we got him. Now he's over 10" and still growing noticeably fast. I had him out in our yard this weekend and he started to dig himself into the ground with his back feet like turtles do ...when they're laying eggs...maybe Franklin is a female? Francine?
