dude not trying to sound like a dick but all your threads basically show you have no idea what you want out of your car, and no idea what it takes to build your car....

you need to find a is300 forum and really research that stuff.

buddy just put one on his built b16 civic hatch. it works fine and held up for a tune, but the exh. housing was too small according to his tuner.

here's the thing though...

a turbo is not something you want to cheap out on. the reason is because if it fails, it can send shards of metal into your engine. this is not good. usually, itll mean you gotta rebuild the engine and refresh the heads and valves. so you need to weigh the money that you saved now vs. the cost of an engine rebuild and refresh and see if its really worth it or not. if you're willing to sacrifice thousands of dollars later on for a few hundred now, then go for it, but remember that there are no guarantees.

i've turned down turbos from "reputable" manufacturers because of lack of testing and end user experiences with them before, i definitely would turn down a turbo built to unknown tolerances with unknown parts and unknown machining, but its your call. may work fine for you, may take out your engine. up to you.

Unless the kit is a brand name kit with part numbers, forget it. Most the parts of the kit would probably be alright, BUT the manifold and ESPECIALLY the turbo itself will most likely be absolute crap. Totally not worth the money to have to do things twice.

Dude, you have a nice car. Don't cheap out on turboing it! You'll just regret it when the turbo blows, making your motor blow, then the car sits while you wait for a new motor. I'm totally not trying to sound like a dick, but if you're scraping money together to boost it, you certainly won't have the money for another motor. Just wait, do research and save $.

That's perfect dude. It gives you all winter to research and get everything together that you need. Don't rush it. I bought my S13 in the summer of 2005, and 3 years and $20k later, I'm finally now getting the last couple pieces I need to boost it. It will hopefully be done in the next month or so. Hopefully!

You have no clue what you are going to do. I agree with aaron and do something like wheels and suspension to the is300. If you have a boosted car and it cant handle or grip for **** its worthless.

get firefox with spell check it helps for people to read your posts.

Buy a turbo and lines new from a reputable company... internal wastegates are fine, everyone thinks you need an external gate, you don't.

Find a used quality manifold, doesn't have to be tubular by any means, just cheap and reliable.

Buy an E-bay FMIC, great price, work just as good as any other company including Greddy, HKS, etc. and come with t-bolts and 4 ply couplers. You can't beat it.

Exhaust/downpipe- E-bay/Megan racing/off brand is fine, just have it rewelded.

Electronics: Not sure what exactly you need to run in your car, so, that's up to you.

Supra fuel pump should work for you.

Wideband O2 sensor is nice to have.

Random gaskets

Injectors, you may be able to use stock Supra TT injectors, if so, that's great.

A clutch to hold the power.

Peice it together yourself as cheap as you can, it's not hard!

If you have an LSD it should grip relatively OK on stock wheels with good tires.

Again, I am not Toyota person by any means, but that's pretty much what you need (major components anyway). BOV, Boost gauge, boost controller, etc. too obviously.

So, add it up and see what you get.

Everyone here has pretty much said it, research and research some more. It is not fun to do a job twice, trust me I know from experience. It is better to spend a months researching than spending a few weeks researching and rebuilding the engine in a month because of ****ty parts.
