We had the only training facility in Philly. Pretty much every pro in the area would come to our park. And most Pro's skate with other Pro's. It's like a big circle of friends. The companies that they skate for really have nothing to do with it.

Not to discount any of your personal experiences, but he was nothing short of friendly and appreciative to me the couple times I ran into him in West Chester. Granted he wasn't skating or at a bar, once he was in a shop and another time he walked by my work while I was outside. If you don't treat him like he is some mythical creature sent from the skate gods and approach him like a normal human, he will be cool. At least from my experience he was.

So true. As much as I appreciate a procharged Camaro, Jordan's impressive collection, and an 8 second 69 GTO, to me something like the F355 or an F40 has much more character and passion. I see corvettes and camaros and porsches every damn day, and ive ridden in too many of them to count. Experiencing a lambo or ferrari is just a different feel to me.

met kerry at atco he pulled up behind me in line in his 600hp tt cayenne.....i was like i swear i saw that car on youtube 2 days ago but kerry getz owned it...then he got out of the car....he was a cool dude...but just like any other person...i didnt act like an adoring fan but as a dude adoring his car...think he respected that.

surprising to hear. I met him at FDR also back in the day and he wasn't as douchey as I expected him to be. I think it's because there were other good skaters there that day and he couldn't show off to the "amateurs". Also saw him and his entourage on the strip during my one and only night out in WC a while back...didnt talk to him that night but he didnt seem to act any different that any other guy who think he's the shyt. lol

and theres nothing wrong with getting paid to act like a fool...his crew were the first people to really put the idea forth and make it happen, so good for them for capitalizing on it. I had a cool Bam experience. It was this past October or so. I was working in WC. There were some local democratic candidates pressing the flesh, looking for votes in downtown, and we're doing a story about them, since, from what I understand, WC and the surrounding area is mostly republican, and it is nearly impossible for the dems to win in WC. So, they're out there shaking hands and handing out their flyers. Up drives Bam in the blue Lambo and stops at a red light. It was very chilly that day, but he didn't have the top up. So, one of the candidates goes up to him, and briefly talks to him and hands him a flyer. He smiled and was cool about it all (I was videotaping this for the news - it never made air). So, maybe because I had a camera out there, he was being cool? Either way, Bam seemed cool to me. Just my experience.
