As the Nu saying goes: "nothing is true, everything is permitted". Everything is false. 1 is not equal to 1. Observe: Take the approximation to material form of two widgets. No matter the apparent similarity, there will always be difference; in appearance and space. The same falsehood applies to the very statement as composed, for no type is completely identical.
Sayest thou that an object is equal to itself? But this implies duality as duality is the inherent aspect of existence. Some thing cannot be something without the recognition of that which it is not.
Note the place of anything in the universe. Everything is only so in relation to every other thing. Observe the ball upon the ground. Where is it? Is it stopped? Nay, for everything is constantly in motion. Dost thou see it? Nay, for how can one see something when all perception is false, perception being the slave to duality and relation.
"Everything is false he says", you say, "but is that not a contradiction in itself". Yea, and verily. This is the liar's paradox and the bait of Choronzon. But this statement and every statement is equally false being that all language holds no value without relation.
As sayeth the beast 666 that "below the abyss, contradiction is division; but above the abyss, contradiction is unity".
And the aspirant melts unto the whore who is Babalon. "Every number is infinite; there is no difference" AL I,4. This is the transcendence of existence and the movement of the eye of Shiva; the secret unveiled by Nemo.
Thus is all not as nothing IS true.

I like the number 93.
Everything is a lie. The cake was too.
English no longer used and words that make people sound smart.
Everything is related and always in motion even while its not.
I'll prove you wrong even though I might be.
Satan says things about the dark.
Something something...whore of Babylon, eye of Shiva, and Nemo....something....
All lies.
Did I mention that I like the number 93?

I get what your saying, but at the very same time logic like this really shouldn't be applied because in saying that everything is false, a true negative and helpless approach to the universe would be applied to everything since nothing can be established and science would be dissolved if there is no such thing as concrete fact or observation since technically nothing is equal by your assumption.
Expansion of knowledge in the realm of what we know to be true will eventually show us what isn't. It is up to us to make those mistakes, then we can define boundaries of knowledge and practically delve into what we know might or might not be true.
I think this kind of thought blinds us to the possibilities we could potentially create and trying to view the universe in such a manner is below us. Human beings should realize we are insignificant enough to be wiped off the face of the planet in an instant and we must do what we can while we are here to progress far enough to know enough to potentially avert that. Not sit in idle fashion in the knowing of knowing nothing and irrelevant thought which won't allow potential progress to proliferate ideals and means.

While I agree that "absolute truth" is beyond the grasp of the human race, I don't think you can say that nothing IS true. What we refer to as scientific fact is only our best explanation of what we can observe at the present time. To quote a rather non-scientific movie, "Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow." Challenging the very nature of truth is basically challenging all of existence, unless you're talking solely within the human construct. It is a defining quality of human nature to strive for understanding, challenge what we don't agree with, and attempt to explain everything about ourselves for fear of the unknown. However, we are limited in our understanding because we observe the environment not as it exists, but as we exist. All of sensation and perception is bound by our own body and mind, hence my assertion that "absolute truth" is beyond our grasp. A perfect example of this is color...is it an intrinsic property of an object or is it an emergent phenomenon of our own perception? Of course, the very use of the word "color" is nothing more than a human invention used to symbolize something we observe in our surroundings.
This is also touching on philosophy of space and time, both of which are debatable in their own right. Is time a human construct or is it an absolute? Is it linear or cyclical? Is space infinitie or are there boundaries? Can different matter occupy the same space and time? If time isn't absolute, can we say an object is identical to itself if it returns to the same space and time? I don't think you can say anything is absolutely true or false when you can't even say that basic principles of existence are true, but that was pretty much the point of the original post.
