PHILADELPHIA -- A line of strong thunderstorms is expected to move into the area Tuesday afternoon, with heavy downpours expected at times.

Severe thunderstorm watches have been posted for several counties in the region, including Bucks, Lehigh, Northampton, Somerset and Mercer counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Wind gusts of up to 40 mph, small hail and dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning are possible with the incoming storms, according to the National Weather Service.

The severe weather alerts are in effect until 8 p.m.

Temperatures will warm into the 80s during the cloudy, stormy day, but things are expected to clear up and cool down Wednesday.

High temperatures will hit 70 and will be sunny Wednesday, and Thursday will be a few degrees warmer and also sunny.

That just sucks right there. I work @ a rental company in Hatboro, and I clean/wash cars all day, and now all my hard work cleaning those cars just went down the drain. :(
