alright so like a week ago i pulled the stock 4g63t out of my 91 tsi and began swapping the trans over to the new motor. i got the trans and clutch aligned up and bolted on with no problems at all. i began swapping over the fuel rail, coil pack, plugs, wires, cas, and other little crap. everything was bolted up and all the harness plugs connected tight. i checked everything all the grounds, wires connections, hoses and all right before i went to start her up. went to fire it up and nothing. the car turns over and has fuel but no spark. i pulled the plug wires and put a spare plug in and cranked it over and there was no spark. i put an ohm meter to the coil pack and it tested fine. im not sure what could be wrong. all the parts i swapped over worked fine when i swapped them. if anyone has any ideas of what could be wrong please let me know. could it be something as simple as my plug wires or could it be something else. any help would be awesome, thanks.

Work from the plugs back. If you can borrow some components to swap out that would make life easier. Try a coil pack and ignitor. Check grounds.

First check wires/fuses. What about the CPS, I know when doing a compression test you are supposed to disconnect it so there is no spark. Just an idea as it could be anything?

Recheck all grounds and connections, sometimes a second set of fresh eyes is a great thing when you been staring at the car for a long time. Maybe check the CAS harness to see if it got pinched during the swap.
