At 7-11 in Newtown. Revved at me with you and 2 buddies in the car. Then you screamed "You can't touch this", as you peel out oh so cool with your friends.

So I catch up along side you a mile or so down the road and ask if you want to go since "I can't touch that", and you say "I'm just a 4 cylinder. Haven't heard of having fun??" Then you proceed to say "Mustangs are gay" Yep, cool one there buddy.

Haven't you heard of not being a douche and calling people out then backing down when they catch up to you later down the road?

Must be a vw thing. For like a week and a half a few months ago, vw's all in my area like got together and had a pep-talk or rally or something, but anytime I would happen to run up on a kid with a vw, they wanted to race, and lost. But whatever...kids are goofy anymore. I don't think they were beat enough as children....

I bought a 1983 VW Rabbit last week and its all done out, SLAMMED to the ground, Wide Steelies, the whole shot,,, and I love it, but being that I got it only about 4 days ago, mad people already started gettin on me for it. this post actually reminds me of how my bf and i were driving the 03 cobra on lehigh street and these kids in a white mk3 gti stepped on it and passed us. probably boosted their ego. sometimes i almost feel embarassed by some of the people i hang out with. some are vw snobs. i tell them my bf hates vws and they look at me like i'm retarded. i think there are people like that in most groups though, not just vws.

It's not a vw thing, it's a mob mentallity thing. Chances are that person would'nt have said anything without people around or friends to impress for some sort of ego gratification. Note that this behavior manifests most often within contemporary fad groups.

I don't hate on any vehicle. Just about any car has potential of whatever the owner wants it to be. Whether it's show, go, or both. SO VW owners in this thread, relax and i hope you didn't take offense to my comment. I think they're good cars, I just personally wouldn't want to own one....just not my style. I was just sharing with 05GT a short episode I had with a few VW's. Its all good. Guys I ran we'ren't even dicks about the runs, just kept about their business on the highway. Just other tuners (the VWs I ran) looking for some competition where ever they can find it! So to the competition, whatever vehicle it is....GAME ON!!!!

I know how that is with the truck. I've rolled with my boy in his Yukon, on 20's mind you, aftermarket tails, and angel eyes and chrome grille, and on numerous occasions he's been piped, and people tried to start races with him (usually he knows he's gonna loose but runs anyway, on some occasions he's beat some hondas), but yeah man i know exactly what you mean. He gets frustrated cause he has a 96 Impala SS that's off the road now to be rebuilt and can't battle with it yet. Usually these short races are followed by, "I wish I had my Impala on the road." lol.

i didnt read all of this. The thing with VW owners are that they believe their cars to be elite. Im not calling out all dubbers, but alot of them believe that VW is the best auto-manufacturer in the world ever. Im a honda guy(that LOVES mkI/II golfs/gtis) but it seems that whenever i meet a new VW person they instantly start saying how hondas can never produce power and how their all slow etc, etc. However, at show-n-go the fastest car was running somewhere in the 11s, at honda-day the fastest car was running 10s. Im not in anyway stating that honda is better than VW, but i just hate how kids automatically assume that hondas are slow and VWs are the fastest cars ever produced, if you look at hp-per-liter honda destroys vw. What gives there? Again, dont take this the wrong way, i would give a nut for a slammed mkIIgti on BBS's, Im just tired of the whole elitist attitude.
