Looks quick!
Nice tune too.
How hard was the megasquirt to setup and tune and how do you like it?

Not hard at all once you get the hang of what everything does. I still need dyno time to get the spark map perfect, but I have it sorta dialed in. The fuel map is getting there too.

I love it, I spent around $300 total for it, the ebc feature, and intake air temp. And for that I have all the features of a standalone...

btw I love your car lagos

lol I could, the short wheelbase makes it a handful tho. Thanks!

You should help me set it up on my car.
I know miatas have pretty much plug and play MS kits. Its a lot harder for my car. I think i would have to convert to the ford ignition system and get the crank position sensor/wheel.

I dident use the plug and play, its much more $$. I soldered together a MS1 V3 kit, and used that.

Check out http://diyautotune.com/. What kid is ignition does your car use? Like cam angle sensor or a wheel on the crank..? Maybe you should shoot diyautotune a email

Eaither way I would be more than happy to help you with it, wether its soldering it together or getting the hang of tuneing.

It uses a distributor cap/rotor and it also gets it crank postion from that. Problem is, that MS seems to have some problems getting a clean signal from my distributor. Its actually a bug with megasquirt, so if I want to set it up on my car, I would have to convert to coil packs and add a new crank wheel/sensor that ms will understand correctly.

I can do all the wiring, soldering. I know my harness like the back of my hand :). However, I would love to meet up with you one day and have you give me a crash course through megatune since Ive never played around with it before.

Btw, "Mad Props" for doing this yourself. Way too many people on here just hand their keys off to a random shop and never take the time to learn anything about their car.

wait, you actually bought the diy kit, and soldered the circuit board? you rock! :supz:

haha thanks, it took a weekend straight of soldering lol. Will you be at the westchester meet on the 22ed? If not just pm me about setting up a day to meet up... actually tommorow would be a great day for me.

Pretty nice, you'll notice a nice gain by leaning it out from your 11.0-11.5 to 12.0-12.5. I see your FM gauge, you running the 2554?

The megasquirt is the way to go. If it was as developed as it is now when I decided to ditch the Link, I would have gone with it instead of the AEM EMS. It's pretty insane what you get for the money.

I just made a camera mount yesterday. It vibrates a little but I'll post a vid soon.

The gauge actually reads alittle rich, the MS reading is about 12.2 to 1 under boost.

Im running a garrett t3 off a merc. 300D, the whole kit is mostly DIY cept for the BEGI mani. Im on miataturbo, I think I rember your username being there.

Holy 12.2! That doesn't sound ideal for holding an engine together. I think you need more fuel and I would trust the WB over anything else.

The lc-1 is what the megasquirt is reading, the gauge just reads alittle rich, and I trust the megasquirts readout over the gauges.
