I was thinking about trying to find a house that 2-4 other people could rent out with me. I've been looking online and mostly on craigslist and I see these houses for rent that are pretty cheap. Whereif a few people lived there it wouldn't cost a whole lot and would be better than living in an apartment.


I want to get out of my parents house and I'm just throwing things out there so if anyone in the delco wants to do this with me hit me up......

People have crazy rules sometimes, like how often you can have guests. what time you go to bed. stuff like that. I've seen rooms for rent that say you must be in bed by 11.

First of all...I actually like the delco area....I'm from philly so I don't wanna go back there Lol and chester, Darby is pretty much the same so I'm not going that way either. This is just something I'm throwing out there so there isn't actually a place thats been selected. As far as rules go, unless the person thats renting the place out has some crazy sh** the only rule is to pay the rent Lol. Honestly the house would be shared so we would have to have our own set of "house" rules, I just wanna make this happen I've seen and heard of ppl doing it and want to try it. Also the ppl that I've considered doing this with are between the ages of 21 and 26 and just need to move out of their parents home just can't find anyone who is ready yet.

well i'm open to pretty much anyone at this point..i've been waiting for this guy to contact me about a room in a 5 bedroom house in glenolden but since i've gotten no response I'm guessing its not available so I want to do my own.

delaware county ( clifton, springfield, ridley, collingdale, and so on)...and dude as long as your able to afford whatever the rent is (trust me i dont want it to be high) and your ready to move in pretty soon your in.

Springfield is a bit of a drive, id be looking at like an hour and change to get to school every day, but I can live with that...what kinda house you looking at?? Single? Twin?? bedrooms? bathrooms? prospected rent per tenant?etc.etc.

^ You should consider BUYING a house and renting rooms to pay your mortgage! That's the only way I would do it after I graduate. Think about it. You don't pay any rent because your roommates pay enough rent to cover the mortgage and after a while, you will own the house and can kick them out or sell it for a lot!

forget about rules..i jut want somewhere to live lol....really tho it wont be my place like I said it will be our place for whoever decides to join the only rule is to pay rent because we cant have that sh** go up on everyone else if you dont ya dig. As for price range I'm looking into it...I want to find a few places to consider first then we can discuss that and the amount of ppl splitting will factor into that also
