Ok vince, I am getting tired of this setup now and would like to improve big time. But i don't know if its worth it. I want to get into the turbo world but i keep hearing the stories. I hear the h22's can't hold boost that well. But then i heard from nicks (JDM Exchange AKA Elite JDM) mouth that it can handle 7lbs no problems what so ever. Then I get into Fitment issues. Piping issues. Is it worth it. I love the car alot but need to improve something. Let me know the deal

I know you're askin r/t, but i've done my fair share of research about h22 turbo-ing. Stock block WITH a solid tune is safe with 7-9psi. Really don't want to g0 much higher before you sleave + go forged and lower comp.

well i heard i can go with a F22 block with h22 head. F22 block has cast iron sleeves in them stock. I know where one is for $100.

A healthy motor with a proper tune can handle up to 10psi. A good tune is very important, as without it you will kill the engine pretty quick.

Sleeve the block and build it up, you will always want more.

h22's are fine for turbo. The people that say they aren't are the ones that haven't done it properly and have blown up their engines. Here is a good example, stock head and block with precision sc61 making 330 whp: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYvdnEkQ8sc

What kind of setup and what kind of power are you looking to get out of the engine? Turbo sizing and power goals blah blah blah will affect all of that stuff.

i will be happy with 300 WHP. I don't need it balls to the wall. Maybe a conservative tune that will reach 300 WHP. Shouldn't be hard on a H22.
