Can someone explain an O2 dump for me? Does this mean i'll be venting to the atmosphere? Will i need any sort of ecu upgrade to do an O2 dump on a tsi?

It could mean venting you BOV to the atmosphere instead of recirculating it. Usually you do not need a special program, but there may be side effects. In the Nissan world, your car could do anything from running rich between shifts, to stalling when coming to a stop.

It could also mean running a divorced O2 housing on a turbo, and just dumping the exhaust from the internal gate to the air instead of running a pipe back into the exhuast.

Stock is recirculted but dump it will eliminate boost crep. What you dont want to the dump/vent is the Blow Off/Bypass Valve.
