I was inspired to post after seeing the S2000/2JZ thread here...though apparently that particular car is not well built. After searching and not finding anything here on this custom built car, I figured I'd post some pics. Being I was 20 years old in 1969, needless to say I have a huge soft spot for my favorite/best muscle cars of that era and what can be done with them ...and I just don't think I would ever think of doing this swap myself given the many fine rumbly V8 contenders, but it sure turned out awesome IMO. Plus now adays I'm hauling my ass around in a Supra, so this project was of special interest.
This was built by EVS Motors and recently displayed at a car show, though I don't recall which show. If I find that I'll post back. Otherwise, happy motoring.

Clean, but not my cup of tea. Come on...a Toyota motor really doesn't belong in that car.
No need for a 10 inch K&N filter either.
But very clean and tasteful. A good show car and nothing more.
Totally argree -> and I just don't think I would ever think of doing this swap myself given the many fine rumbly V8 contenders, but it sure turned out awesome IMO

Nice... looks pretty good. Though, I would still prefer a turbo LS2 or LSX block in there instead of a 2JZ

are you serious?

are you serious?
possibly an "uninformed" serious...I was picking up on the few negative comments in that thread about "problems". Otherwise I really don't know anything specific about that S2000 or the builders, but just looking at the pics it looked pretty nice.

ahh I think you are talking about the one on Ebay, not the one Twins Turbo built right?
Wow, I would rock the hell outta that car. That is an amazingly clean swap and everything looks so nice!

ahhh, that explains it. Yes, I meant the ebay one was getting some bad press around here ...and I don't really know much about that car.
The TwinsTurbo car is awesome, a hardcore racecar. I have a feeling it will be kicking ass in a lot of time trials etc. and Eric the Twin mentioned maybe even giving some mile runs a shot. He also said they're working on some new tricks for Steve A's track Supra that they built so I'm looking forward to seeing that, too.

Looks like it was done with a great deal of attention to detail, not something I would like to find under the hood of a Camaro though.

Agreed.
There's a certain aroma to turning over an S2000 and being met with the sound of a V6 lighting up, or when you turn over a 240 and out jumps an RB.
However, turning over that Camaro and not hearing a heavily cammed LSX block would just make me mad. You gotta upgrade with a swap, can't go backwards and it's really tough to beat the sound of a big liter cammed up V8.

Defiantly dude. There's nothing more soothing than hearing the cammed sound of a V8 and smelling that oh so familiar fuel smell of the classic muscle.

no... just no... there should be a blown big block as in 396,427,454 and built by hand not this bull**** crate motor stuff anyone can buy a car and stick a motor in it but to build the car, motor, and everything else is where skill is. sorry for the rant but keep that motor where it belongs IMPORTS but other then that the car looks good

Nice car! The interior looks very modern, I suppose it doesn't resemble the original interior at all.

I like it just because it's differnt.
I'm waiting for someone to put either a Lambo or Ferrari V-12 into a pro-touring car. That'd be sick!

That would be sort of like the 2008 Ridler Award winner which was the 1960 Nash Rambler called "Ferrambo". It's another strange combination, but I really like it a lot. I'm definitely not a purist and like to see different things, sometimes I like it sometimes I don't.

I'd like to do something weird with an old Studebaker...but don't tell my wife. Start with something like a '53 Commander and go crazy...if it was already in real bad shape I'd like to tube frame it and have an unusual roadrace trackday car.

I think that is ugly actually. The car itself is nice but the engine choice was definetly not good for it.
