its sounds like the timing chain but you said you check that already so umm did you pull the valve cover off and see if you might of dropped something in there or if theres something loose?

Yeah I know. Its a ticking noise(not to loud but their) goes away under throttle took the head off checked everything and it's ok tomorrow im gonna see if it's the timing chain guide other than that no damn clue

get off nico and go over to zilvia. hard to tell from the video.. did it just start out of the blue, or did it slowly get worse.. possibly lifter tick, you can bleed thoughs bad boys..

Is this a noise the engine has always done? SR injectors are quite loud and tick. Valve cover ticks can be caused by dry lifters, tossed shims, etc.

Remove the valve cover and examine everything. Pull cams, pull rocker arms (making sure you keep them in order), bleed lifters, examine everything. There should be a shim on top of each valve spring (don't get these mixed up either). While in there just remove the chain guide. You don't need it. If everything seems fine and nothing is missing, you might have bigger problems down low.

I can't really tell what the sound is like or where it's coming from so it's hard to diagnose just be a low quality vid.

I actually seem to believe its lifter tick. It's not the injector's checked that and it's never done this before only when I put it back in and i believe I remember one of the hla's fell out of the head when i was moving it but it's raining today so alas i will have to wait gr.

man i got the chain guide noise now, although its way more suttle then most people. What you have, well thats deffinately more brutal sounding. I would suggest the same checking the lifters, but if everythin seems fine afte pulling the cover off and everything else then i would start looking for another motor.

Pull the coil leads one by one to see if you can determine which cylinder is noisy. Sometimes removing the compression/ignition strokes can change the way a problem sounds. You might have some excessive shim clearance or maybe a cam lobe that flattened out.

I bled the lifters fixed that problem but now it makes an even worse noise I just started it up and heard this

That really does sound unhealthy now. Do you have oil pressure?

grmreapr
05-21-2008, 01:12 AM
yeah perfect pressure I sent the clip to a friend and he seems to think it's actually the intercooler piping on the cold side knocking against the metal so off it comes tomorrow and im gonna widen the hole and but some rubber around it.
