new SPEC stage2 clutch pro installed by Hawkins Speedshop. driven less than 100 mi since install, so its ready for the new owner to mold it!
the entire car was given a once-over and general tune-up when the clutch was installed.

More mods:

btw, top tested speed as is (with new clutch) was 185mph (in fifth gear, thats a whole gear left!)

Where did you 'test' your top speed? 185mph sounds a bit fast. Do you have any dyno charts? If i'm reading your post correctly, the car basically has an intake and exhaust and is making 257RWHP! Those are some pretty crazy numbers for those modifications.

This is a scam, Those mods would probably get you about 10hp. I did not see you listed gear modifications so your top speed is also a lie. The top speed of an AP1 is about 149 give or take a few miles. The top speed is not limited by the horsepower but by the gears. At about 149 you're already at 9k rpms. Even if you did change over to an AP2 tranny you would only have an extra 250 rpms to play with so unless you spent some money custom making a gear set or your engine now revs to 13k I don't think you have been anywhere near 185, maybe your gauge cluster was set to kilometers? In which case in 5th gear at 185kph is more believable although you probably haven't toped it out yet. Also your seats look pretty stock to me.

i had an 01 s2k with a k&n filter and invidia headerback exhaust and made 220rwhp
and THAT was impressive.

if you're going to come on here and BS with people don't expect to get more than 11000 for your s2k because that's all it's worth.

As a current S2k owner your HP and speed is unrealistic. 257 hp No way man maybe on the but dyno after your dun driving a stock EX civic it feels like 257 as far as top speed the Final drive in a S2000 wont allow that speed you need more than 350hp to get to that speed but atleast dont lie to these ppl man thats beat, As for the mods take em all off there worthless put it back to stock and sell it in NY for 14k

my buddy borrowed it to test drive it just after the clutch got put in, and a week later told me hed been up to 185.
thats on I-70, btwn the IN and OH border.
i really wanted to track test it, but havent had the chance.

Ok, so you say you got it to 153 mph. That seems believable. Your buddy is full of crap when he says he got it to 185. S2000's have 240HP to the FLYWHEEL stock, not the wheels. And what does a "Stage 2 clutch" have to do with what MPH he got it up to or what horsepower you're making? You seriously think your car is making that much horsepower? Take it to the dyno, you'll be disappointed. If your buddy already dynoed it....get the dyno charts from him and post them up!!! Oh, and WTF is a "race chip"?

I may be drunk right now but what the hell does a racing condensor have to do with making more power? Are you talking about your ac condensor? Maybe it makes made vtec air condition power. This for sale thread is funny as hell

i can install car stereos, and maybe a intake or two. im good with mechanics in general, but have never had any training. which is why i had work ont he s2k done by pros, cuz its a nice car and i dindnt want to fk it up. actually, i had work on the kouki done by pros too, cuz it was also a sweet ride.
racing condensor, if im correct, helps ground the engine and eliminates misfires. first time ive ever come across one was in my s2k. it was inthere when i got it. i thought it was for the stereo, as it glowed blue. apparently not.
clutch isnt for hp, just for kick, but my buddy did claim he took it to 185
ill call him and bug him see if he holds his claim
i did take it to 153mph in 5th at about 7krpm
i didnt go faster cuz i was afraid of gettin pulled ovr. happened WAY too many times.
anyone near the dc area that want to take my car to a track and test it is free to do so, just call me.
i like my car. i is WAY faster than the porsche boxster i had b4 it, and its exhaust growl is louder and deeper.
i think it has 3 1/2" inch headers. thats 1/2" over stock, isnt it?

ok, so i talked to my friend. he stands by his claim he DEF had it up to 185MPH, and he said he was in 5th with the RPMs around 7.5
i trust him.
i dont know what all mods my car has. i have listed the ones i do know of.
i am in the process of getting the dyno sheets from the previous owner.
thats the most i can do.
i like my car. it IS fast
and the top goes down in 5sec, btw, i timed it, upon request.
i know that 2000 was the best year for the s2000 (well 00-01) as it was the closest to a track ready race car produced. lated it was made more "street wise" and "user friendly"
that is WHY i bought a 2000, and not another year.
it may be that the car has 257hp and not WHP, but as far as i can tell, thats the only mistake i made in the original listing.
if anyone want so come and see the car/test it, they are welcome to. if you plan to take it to high speeds, take it to a track, as i would not like it impounded and cops around the DC area like pegging speeders.

so i switched it back to a stock intake
and i switched the Alpine type S speakers for Volvenhag red ones.
i also switched the apexi exhaust for a Tanabe Silver Medallion Racing exhaust.

185mph in 5th? the car CAN NOT GO THAT FAST! the gears simply won't allow it. they are 4.10s stock. there is no chip for these cars either. there is so much bad info. in this thread. i hope you are able to sell the car. my guess is about $12.5k
