I need to make more money plain and simple. $8 an hour is not cutting it anymore, with bills, living expenses, gas and parts for my car. Looking for something in the trooper, lower providence, king of prussia area.

I'm 20 years old and a upbeat, kind, and reliable person. I've worked as a cashier for 3 years, worked in sales for 8 months, and restraunt for 2 years.

PM me or reply in this thread.

Thank you

Ray

I work as some ceo's personal assistant making $13 an hour. Got if from craigslist. Really easy work, basically calling banks and credit card co. making accounts correct and all that fun stuff. Not bad money and I start at 10am and have thursdays off so it's pretty BA.

Being 20 and only making $8/hr would suck...

You go to any tech schools or taking any courses at a college?

I'm 20 and went to WyoTech and took a bunch of their classes and I just started at a local dealer on Wednesday making $10/hr being a Painters Assistant doing prep work such as cleaning, cutting in edges, final sanding, and masking various panels on and off cars. After my assessment period I'll be making around $13-14/hr which is decent. If I stay, after 2-4 years I'll be making in the $20/hr range (basing off other employees pay).

A few weeks saving money, I'll be buying a few different sanders, blocks, various tools, and paint guns and be moved up to painting.

I work M-F 8am-5pm with lunch being 12-1 and have off most holidays. Shop is SO clean, almost everybody gets along, and even the managers are cool.

Craigslist is your best bet. I've answered a bunch of awesome job offers from there... but they were all restaurant related. Still, if you reply to a job posting on there, I've found you get the fastest response out of any other form of communication. Plus, they usually tell you how much you get paid right in the post. I had a $14/hr translator call center job in Willow Grove for a little bit, but I hated being on the phone so much (I think that goes against a common girl stereotype :bigeek:). Just forward your resume and include a quick cover letter and as long as you sound halfway intelligent in your letter, they should get back to you within a day of 2. Good luck!

See if there is an AAA travel branch location in your area, apply for retail or travel agent. Since you have retail expierence, you may get hired. Starting pay here is around $14-16 per hour plus commision. Also has it's perks, tuition reimbursment, 190hrs of paid time off per year, you can buy participating vendor vehicles (GM, Ford, etc) at $500 under dealer cost, guaranteed raises anually, free premier AAA membership, familiarization trips yearly which is 100% paid (I'm going on a Disney cruise to the Bahamas this year), etc. I can go on and on....

I started when I was 18, im now 22 and making good enough money to only work part-time, go to school for free, and graduate with no loans and still be making 30k+ yearly while being in school. I'll probably graduate next year with a BA in Business Admin, have 5 years in with the company, and get hired for a corporate positon right away. Right now with a degree, they're starting at 70k-90k easy. haha

I can't guarantee it's the same in PA, especially if it's not AAA Mid Atlantic however if they do have a call center in your area, you can almost guarnatee you will get hired due to the fact that they have so many positions to fill. The travel branch may be very hard to get into, but wtf, it's worth a shot. Right?
