search online, on craigslist and google. there are various private teachers and some music shops even do lessons. I see your in Philly, you can even call Sam Ash, Cintiolis, or the like to see if they offer lessons or can reccommend anyone.

My cousin is a phenominal guitar player and he teaches mostly kids. However, he and his wife just had a baby though so I think he is laying off the private lessons for a bit.

Seriously though, searchs craiglist listings and google. There are tons of places that give music lessons.

your best bet is a private lesson, guitar center/sam ash lessons are a joke, all they care about is getting your money, and so, spread things out that could be thought in an hour or two over the course of a month.

While I know what your saying... Its false because neither Guitar Center or SamAsh offer lessons. I know, because I used to work at SamAsh. :)

Anyway, Ill try to check craigslist. I was just asking here to see if anyone was going to any place they could recommend.

Over the winter I was going to these classes for adults at a local high school. It was 100bucks for 10classes (super cheap). While it was a class room type of setting, I feel it helped me a lot. So I was hoping someone knew of something similar. The place I was going to isn't doing any summer classes.

i know for a fact guitar center once did, and then i threw sam ash into it to make it a generalization.. but this was a while ago, so i wouldn't be surprised if they don't anymore. but, george's music, and fretz fall under the category of wanting money as well.
