I don't know if this is old news or not, but has anyone seen this yet?

I've been saying since the new mustangs came out that if chevy redesigned the
camro to look like it did between 67-69, it would far surpass the
retro-awesomeness of the new mustangs...

It's STILL not happening. GM axed the names. They'd have to bring back the firebird in that case, and they're not willing to spend the money.

It's not coming out. They're not interested in competing with mustang. They're concentrating on producing Corvette's as their speed.

And they'd have to bring back the Firebird, because f-body fans would have a hissy fit.

Like I said, this design has been floating around for years. Once it was the 03/04, then the 07, now the 09. It's not coming out. Ever.

I think that model in the pic is ugly as hell first off.

Chevy is already so deep in the hole it's not even funny. If they don't come up with some good designs soon, you can bet GM will be filing bankruptcy and trying to go completely overseas to cut their costs.

The Corvette and the trucks are the only thing Chevy has going for them.

In this case, they wouldn't do that so that the other names could come out with a version of it themselves.

i gotta agree with you on this one - eventhough i'm a big fan of the GTO.

they were planning on transplanting the holden models into the US as new cars, but the plan was dropped. this is all according to motor trend though so it's probably just speculation.
