nice foxbody. its getting harder and harder to find a decent one for a decent price. if yours isnt bad, i wouldnt get rid of it.

thnx guys!! its 5 speed with stock gears, trap speed was 95 mph

Hm, my trap speed is 95 mph on a 13.90-14.0 second run...but my 60' is a 1.9 with an automatic, not a typical 5.0 combination. You're probably good for a 14.2-14.3. What was your 60' time?

Nice man, I would say keep it. My buddy has a 91 foxbody with a Kenne Belle on it and its bad ass.

That's pretty ****ty for a RWD car. Actually that's ****ty for a FWD car lol.
Practice those launches sir, or put some DRs on it and heat them up instead of your street tires. Cut a 1.8 or lower and you'll snag a deep 14 for sure.

Ditto. You should be able to get down to 2.0 60' in a 5speed 302. That'd drop your E.T. by about twice the 60' improvement, i.e. very low 14 like sovXiet said.

IMO, Slicks are not gonna help your times. If you hooking and bogging now, slicks will do the same and drag more on the way down. You may want to increase your launch RPM if the car can take it. Best thing if you just spun a bit and kept the RPMs up. The bog thing is not gonna help you.

i mean thats a decent time, i think you could get rid of it and DEFINITELY get something faster for the same amount of money spend.

Heh, clearly you have absolutely no idea about the 5.0 potential > money.

My friend had one. Fully built N/A motor. Only made like 300 whp.
5.0's = dogsleds.

It isn't all about horsepower though. You get the right suspension setup for the track as well, with more help in weight deduction and hooking capabilities. And as someone else said the slicks aren't worth it at all. Get some gears if you want a big difference too, then you will need drag radials or slicks.

Yeah...
Bolt ons and a 150 shot with DRs = mid 11s.
That's one heck of a dogsled.

I agree, Gear would help alot but still matters how you use this car. Is it your DD? How fast you want to go and how much money can you spend on it? Any car can be made fast.
IMO, go back to the track and get some seat time, rav higher and slip the clutch more.
MikeP is right about DR wont help you and as he said spin a bit out of the hole.
Good luck....
