ok so i know that i'm going to get black chrome bullit wheels but either way i gotta save for them and they'll probably be on within the next 2 months...but i'm not sure whether i should get 18x10 in the back and 18x9 in the front or the 17x10.5 in the rear and 17x9 in the front...the reason im questioning this is because i like the idea of wide 17x10.5's but to lose an inch around and get 17s instead of 18s may not be worth it...heres what they look like in case you dont know...

Bullits-black chrome (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AFS-94-04-Mustang-BULLITT-Wheels-18x9-10-BLACK-CHROME_W0QQitemZ8000494210QQcategoryZ43958QQrdZ1QQ cmdZViewItem)

so what do you think?

PLEASE POST THE LOGIC FOR YOUR VOTE!!!

As hot as I think the 18's would look, the weight will KILL the V6 power. Go with the 17's. :wiggle:

what are you going for sound, speed, looks?

if sound then get 17" no need to spend more on something you not going to use
if speed then 17"s again, the weight of the 18" will kill your et
if looks then 18" it will fill up your wheel gap

Unless you’ve got some serious power and need some serious rubber to contain that power, a 18x10inch wheel in the rear, and 18x9inch in the front may be a little excessive. Weight would be a serious issue. Keep in mind there are already Civics and RSXs that are pretty damn fast in stock trim. If your V6 Mustang is stock, adding unnecessary weight wouldn’t be the way to go this time. If you had a V8, I would say go for it.

Also, what’s the size of your stock wheels? You’d be going up several inches if you went to 18s and that would also raise your gear ratio. You would have two factors against you. The first would be the weight, and the second higher gear ratios (which would kill your acceleration going up a hill.) The cost of tires would be serious also.

I’m a big wheel man myself, however, speed is also important. So once you’ve put a turbo on the V6, or drop a V8 in there… run back to the wheel shop and get those big azz 18s, playa.

In the end, it’s still your call.

lol i've been lookin at superchargers for it and not only are they gonna take a lot of money but a lot of pursuation convincing my dad that i wont kill myself in it so if 17's aren't gonna sacrifice too much speed then i think i'm startin to lean towards them...but more input and more votes will still help

thanks 9 ball

get the 17's and lower it, its gonna look like a 4x4 when you put wheels on it unless you lower it
