It looks like tommorrow I will be giving up the keys to my STi. If all goes right I'll be trading it in on a Legacy GT Limited. I don't have the greatest driving record and couldn't justify paying $375 a month for insurance anymore, its about half for the Legacy GT. I had fun with it while I had it. I am gonna try to get ahold of a notchback Mustang or something and make it a track car to satisfy my need for speed.

I have no debt and don't want any debt except for my car. I pay cash for everything. I have seen too many people run up 30k-40k in cc debt and fight just to pay interest.

As for the insurance, its money going to waste. I'm not getting anything out of it other than the right to drive legally. I can do that for alot less. I am a cheap MOFO.

I got several insurance quotes for several vehicles and I was astonished that that the LGT was the cheapest.

It's still not a done deal yet though, still trying to negotiate a deal between trade in and price of the LGT. I've got them down from 29567 to 24890, but they only want to give me 22000 for my car. Iam holding out for more trade in value.

There was actually some kid at the dealership tonight buying a used 2005 STi, same color and options as my 2004. I was half tempted to offer him my car for a lot less.

You shouldnt be to hardpressed to get somewhat near the dealer-tradein value. They usually low ball alot on cars they cant move on the lot or paint issues. An STI wouldnt have a problem moving on any lot.

I was looking at both the wagons and the sedans, ended up choosing the sedan. I got an amazing deal on it because it was a slightly used 05, not one I was originally looking at. All they had were 06 wagons and they weren't dealing on those as much as the 05.

I tried to locate a red one, but the only ones I could find had taupe interior. I wanted black interior. I could have gotten an 06 red with black but I couldn't pass up the deals on the 05.
