I smell lawsuit...
that is discrimination based on age. Its not that you are not qualified in skills to do the job, you are "too young". And from what I remember, you have to be at least 16 to work unless you had something signed by your parents.

HA HA about the lawsuit! anyway today i went to BMW to apply for a Job obviously lot attendent because i found out a friend of mine is 17 and works there as Valet. anyway i walk in and go to the service recepist to ask for a job application. she proceed to tell me i had to be 18 so iam like ok no problem so i walk out and i some guy who works for bmw walks about to me and says you know your not aloud to park back there thats only for bmw car being serviced or authorized employees. iam like there was no where to park. he's like you should have looked harder. i go "iam sorry i dont drive a bmw" iam sure the outcome would have been different if i did drive a bmw. besides there was jeep parked back there to. the guy wanted to be a dick so i was one back to him ill remind myself not to go there to buy a car if i decide on a bmw in the future.

best bet is to get into a restaurant. Be a bus boy or something until you turn 18. Then ask to be trained as a server. No where else is gona give you the 20-30/hr that you can make in tips at a good restaurant. If there is a fine dining restaurant around you, get there. Look at a menu, if half of the entrees are over $20.00 and some are over $30.00....you've found the right place.

chain restaurants are a waste of time. like i said, find a place with an expensive menu.

yea well more then likely in that case youll have to be 18. i went to olive garden and they said 18.

why, incase you get ****ed up they cant cover you? there are plenty of jobs for a 17 year old. you arent going to make millions, get used to it.
Stillen GLE

i realize i wont make millions right away. but its just Bull**** i mean they have college kids come home on break and get a job for a week and then they leave when they could have given someone like me a job that would be there for a a little while. what sense does that make. and like said before its not just the dealerships that are denying me its resturants to. i mean something's gotta give i cant wait another 3 months to turn 18 i just cant do it i dont have the money. gas and is going up and nothing is getting cheaper.

dude face it. You're 17, get a job at the groccery story for $8.00 an hour and work your way up. You aren't going to fall into a job making lots of money at 17 years old unless you're lucky. Your best bet would be a waitor position or something of that sort, but it seems you're jaded and have given up searching. Your loss, not ours.

Have a Wawa close by?
I worked at Wawa back when I was 16 for 7 months, it's not a bad job, and it'll hold you over until you can find something better. Better find something fast, college kids like me are coming home soon and steelin ur jobz.
