C5 corvette 1997 to 2004. Did you try calling your insurance company and get a quote?

asking people on here what they're paying won't do you an ounce of good.
Go ask your insurance guy for a quote. It takes them 10-15 minutes to put the **** in the computer.
My insurance guy kicks ass, I've called and got quotes from him a few times for a few different vehicles.

I know a couple friends who have Vett's and was looking at one myself. Insurance on a Vette is actually pretty cheap compared to other cars. I wouldn't expect much of a difference in cost between the Cobalt SS and the Vette.

You don't have to own a car to get a quote. It will get better/ closer results to what you would really be paying rather than asking people on here.

$70 a month my buddy was paying. It was registered under his moms name and as her 3rd car.

Expect around $1500, but anywhere from $1000 to $5000 should give you a good indication.

Agree, I actually called yesterday and it took the guy about 20 minutes to give me quotes for 15 different cars, the longest part of it was him looking up my policy.

Asking other people what they pay for insurance will not do much. Things such as the insurance company, marital status, age, past driving experience affect the rates

I pay $1,500 a year and it's not my daily driver thru Allstate.
Personally, I think I'm getting ripped off by Allstate as I have a clean record and am much older than most (49). I've just been to lazy to do anything but it's about time I do look for a new agent.

I was quoted to buy 130 a month for liability, comprehensive w/ 100 dollar deductable, and uninsured motorist protection, basically everything except collision and full tort. Never bought the car though...
With collision and full tort my coverage came to a tad over 300 a month, this was for a 2001 C5 6 spd base model.
By the way, the Vette will be cheaper than an Evo or SRT4.
I do get discounts for a driving safety program I took (on my own accord), multi policy discount, I have my life insurance through State Farm as well- this is on my own account. The only accident that was my fault I've been in was a bump in a parking lot from a few years ago, nothing major, no broken taillights or anything- the other car needed a rear bumper repaint.

I was paying about $960/year for my C4, full coverage with a multi car discount with my 03 GA sedan, which was more.
