Sarge - or any other LEO that can help:
As many have known for a while, several car enthusiasts meet up in Northeast Philly on Roosevelt Boulevard. Typically we'll meet at a large parking lot at one of several locations and cruise around . ( Ok, granted, some asshats street race and dome some pretty dumb stuff...) The Philadelphia police have taken it upon themselves to kick us out of just about every place we gather. Even those of us that aren't doing anything. THose that I hang out with generally just gripe and moan, but never give the LEO's a hard time. They threaten us with losing our licenses, impounding cars and being charged with street racing. I'm not in any way, shape or form involved in any kind of racing outside of the drag strip. Neither are my friends. So my question is: How are they able to charge us with any kind of infraction or petty offense for STANDING there. There are no posted signs saying "no loitering." I will absoluteley concede the fact that the police are trying to crackdown on the morons who are hell-bent on becoming speedbumps, and rightly so. But for the rest of us, that are merely enjoying ours and others' cars, What can we say or do to prevent this harrasment ?

OK I understand your problem but the few people who are racing and cutting up have ruined this for everyone. Your best bet is to find a spot you and your friends can hang out in with out the hassle. This a hot spot and thats not going to change anytime soon.
