Ok i have had a LS in my crx for the past 3-4 years. I did all the work myself so i know my way around my set-up. recently I replaced the engine from a b18a1 to a b18b1 and since then i have been having trouble getting the car to start when its cold. every morning when i go out to start it it takes about 3-5 min of me turning the engine b4 it will run. once it is running i have to wait for it to warm up a lil bit b4 i hit the gas b/c it will shut off, but once it has idled for about 2 min its good and i have no problems out of it. it doesn't skip and it pulls hard. if i shut the car off it will fire right back up. im not sure of what this is but im sure it electrical. if anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated, b/c im sure the neighbors will start to mind.

have you checked timing, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc., is the motor you just put in new?

I would first replace/check all the tune up items as mentioned before.

After that, check the fuel pressure and spark. I would also take a look at the solder on your main relay to see if there are any cracks in it at all. If so, resolder it or just swap in a different one to see if that helps. I would also check out the grounds since you said it was after the 2nd motor was installed. Good luck!

could be a number of things, danronian gave you a good start, check you distributor components like the module cuz they are known for going bad and givin are times to start, but if it is that it will eventually go and you will kno for sure.. start there, if you have a spare distributor swap out the modules, i am pretty sure they are all interchangeable, main relay can give problems. take it out and jump the wires in the clip and see if it starts right up or if still just cranks like before... as for grounds yea i guess one can be a little loose, just go over and re-tighten them all up, good luck!!!!
