I'm looking for a good place to buy tires. Anyone want to recommend a good place. I'd like to buy them now just in case prices do start to go up. Local is preferred. Tri-state area is fine, too.

Thanks in advance.

From your post it seems as though you want to buy tires to hold on to for a while, or are you looking to replace your current tires early?

Are looking for a local place to buy and pick up? Or can you do web/phone/mail order and have them delivered?

I have had good luck with both TireRack and Vulcan Tire. All the orders were delivered quickly (2/3days from placing the order). I also had no trouble getting them mounted and balanced at a local shop.

keep in mind when you order tires online most local shops will rape you to mount them.

ive used tires.com and tirerack and both were great.. most recently though i went to eppies and was suprised at the large stock they keep, great prices, and they give you free mounting and balancing, rotations for life, and flat fixes

Thanks everyone. I'll check out all these places. I'd like to buy the tires soon and then just hold on to them till snow starts to fall. I've bought many tires from tirerack already. But if it is going to come down to a $10-20 difference I would definitely prefer to get them local.
