Looking to get a new DD, what are your thoughts on these two vehicles?
'00ish Saab 9-5 wagon
'00ish Audi A6 Avant
Let me know your thoughts guys!!

If it has to be a wagon, I would go Audi all the way do to more/better engine choices. The only thing you need to watch out for is that with a '00ish year Audi, you will need to do the timing belt / water pump replacement when it hits around 90k miles, if it hasn't been done already. Paying someone else to do it can set you back $2k - $3k depending on the engine.
As far as what to look for, I would look at the A4 Avant with the 1.8T, the A6 Avant with the 2.7T or the 4.2 V8.

Thanks for the opinions.
A6 Avant seems to only come with the 2.8.

It may be year dependent, but I know you can definitely get the Avant with the 2.7T or 4.2, depending on the year. They also come with the 3.0 instead of the 2.8 on the newer ones.
However, in '00 you may be right that they only come with the 2.8. If that is the case, I would look at getting the A4 Avant with the 1.8T.
