I love those cars. =(

I got two friends in my car club that drive SHO's. The guy who started this thread is my best friend Geoff with a Green 93 and my friend Dave with a Maroon 90. Def. underated cars!!

My car's previous plate was "SHO EATR" (previous owner had it in Cali). He urged me to get the same plate in PA, but they're so damn rare up here that people would think I eat shoes or something.

Best thing about them: engine-rest of it is a Ford. They are heavy (not the ideal track car)- but comfy on long cruises...best seats around.

They are getting more and more rare around here--used to see a lot in MASS areas.

Yeah. I hate fords (some exceptions, no offense to ford guys), but the engine isn't a ford, so I can deal with it. :p

Definitely sleepers.

all the years they made them up until 96 had a great engine. Yamaha powa!!

taurusshoman

well actually they are all yamaha powered just that the 96-99 had the V8 engines putting out 235 but in a much heavier chasis.

They are all Ford/Yamaha joint efforts in fabrication with most of the Yamaha influence in the upper half of the block. Head gasket and below can be claimed as Ford. 96-99 engines have the architecture based on the 2.5L V6 Duratec. (I like my intake plenums MUCH better!)
How many miles on your '93 and can you remind me of what FPR is?
-Thanks.

hey sorry about that a FPR is a fuel pressure regulator it is needed if you have a larger fuel pump on the car like i do. the car has 132000 miles on it i just need another car so i can park this one and just basically restore it.

That hood could be remedied with a CincySHO fiberglass, cowl hood-it'll cut that weight in half! Good luck!

Prior owner of a red 1989 SHO police edition with black moldings and 5SP. Died at 120,000 and didnt have the mechanical ability at the time to fix it.

If you were referring to me. No, It has been sold since 1998. Most dealers at the time could barely work on the car or didnt want to. Damn shame.

There was a police edition SHO? Thats awesome! I love these sleepers even though I'm not a ford fan.
