My friend's integra, has not had vtec ever since he got it, until recently the wiring harness was ghetto rigged from the guy he bought it off of, so he couldn't get a cel code but I am positive the car is in limp mode from it, but I need help from anyone who has a aftermarket intake manifold i.e blox especially.

His CEL code is 24 or electronic air control,

Code 14

Detection item: idle control system malfunction

Probable cause:
-IAC valve
-Fast idle thermo valve
-Throttle body

Details:
-IAC valve mechanical malfunction
-Fast idle thermo valve malfunction (AT)
-Throttle body clogged port, improper adjustment
-Intake manifold, gasket leakage
-Intake air hose loose, leakage
-Vacuum hoses leakage
-ECT sensor incorrect output
-Throttle position sensor incorrect output

- we have tried almost eveyrthing possible on here to try to get the CEL to go away, but we have had no such luck... he has a blox intake manifold, and I don't know but, there is a connector around the third and fourth plenum that doesn't have anything connected because the person cut it off the harness for some reason? Does anyone know what that plug is for also

Any help would be greatly appreciated, it should be running alot faster than it is with the mods on his car, but he can beat a gsr only with i/h/e by only a car length.

Just give me an opinion of what I could try on it, I have a stock gsr intake manifold I could put back on if that could be a reason but im not sure.

Nevermind we spent all day today workingon it, looked it over, it was a ls interior harness, so we had to create a vtec line to the solinoid, now its working.

that is the intake air temp sensor. While im sure it runs fine because of this you really should get it hooked up. also, if you were able to get past 3k to even see if vtec would open you were certainly not in limp mode haha. every time my car goes limp it is an absolute nightmare to drive.
