so thats what my exact car would look like with a front mount...not many 02-03 silver specs turbod on myspecv to go off of....that spot in the lower grill looks like it is made for a front mount...god damn i need to turbo my car

Price for one thing...purchase price + all mods to the extent of the SCCA STX ruleset and I'm just a bit over the cost of a new WRX. Almost bought one too, kind of wish I had though...it's the car to have in STX. But at the same time, it's fun making WRX drivers feel inadequate when they get beat by a Sentra. :-p

At the end of the day the WRX is an all around better car, I think everyone can/will agree to that. But the Spec V is still a great bang for the buck. Modded correctly it's a great all around car: not the fastest, not the best handling, not the best looking...but great all around. Despite my 165whp, with all the suspension tuning it's an absolute blast to drive. Not that the WRX isn't a blast, but the Spec V is a great and fun car for the money.

sounds like the spec-v is the honda of the higher end car market, cheap, fun to drive and reliable :) hangs with the big boys, everyone looks down on it, and it suprises a couple of people.

+1....when i give up hope on my car it always suprises me when i least expect it to...its easy to say you dont like a car you havent driven....id bet if the nay sayers drove a spec-v they'd probably have a different opinion..

i get "thats a sentra?!?!" all the time...its a completely different car then the 1.8s and 2.0s...

though most of the guys that trade their specs usually go with the WRX more than any other cars IMO....if i were to trade my car id prob go with a wrx too...i <3 awd.

well i had my 06 for lik 5 mounths and made the trade, it had oiling problems from day 1 and all i did was the intake and cat back and it did not leav me happy i went drove the wrx and was in love and now its been a year and still love it as much as the first day i got it

I had a slammed 02 Spec-V, fully bolted and fully loaded. I loved that car and all three engines #3 a little less though lol. I had so much fun with that car, and very little worries. I love my WRX don't get me wrong, but if an opritunity arose I would give up the hefty payments and horsepower for torquesteer and fun factor any day.
