mod chip?

Just wondering if anyone has put a mod chip on there car from ebay they are like $10 lol just wondering if they actually work

i thught u were tlaking about for like ps2 or xbox. I would say you would have to be a moron to do this. 10 bucks for something that could destroy your car!!!

It's just a diode that blinds your stock PCM to a range of a certain operating condition (usually intake temps or knock sensor) so that it runs it's most powerful timing and mixture settings 24/7. The only problem with THAT is, if you run your optimum condition mixture and timing in ****ty conditions, you could damage things very easily (that's the reason those sensors and the PCM programming exsist in the first place).

Your car was desgined that way for a purpose (saftey). You had better know a whole lot about how your PCM operates before you start trying to trick it. And you usually need some pretty in depth engine modification (intake, porting, cams, exhaust, etc.)before screwing with the PCM is even beneficial.

most of those honda "mods" are just a resistor that makes your IAT sensor act like its getting colder air... what happens?

you run rich and lose power...

Buying pretty much anything from ebay for your car for $10 is bad news! :)
