View Full Version : Shockwave traffic jam recreated for first time

Ok it may not be the forst time, but it is the first time scientists did it as part of an experiment. Over in Japan a bunch of university researchers created a test track and put a bunch of drivers on the track and told them to drive at the same steady rate. Of course we all know what happens, so read the article before watching the video.

kind of weird......its not that hard to keep a 30kph pace.....i hate random traffic jams for no reason with a passion.

That is the worst, seems to happen alot on Rt 95 when it is beach weather.

I think this was best demonstrated by Disney in a short with goofy in it. It was produced in the early 80's. Let me see if I can try to find it.
