Went and picked this up today for a G. Pretty nice overall. Paint sucks real hard, but im not real worried about it. What you guys think? I have some real good plans for it but I need to find a job first... Anyone know of something? lol. It would be a big help. Not real sure what im gonna do first, but the rust and ignition switch are high on the list. I really just wanna get some killer suspension on it and drive the **** out of it.. I guess in time..

Lol don't hate. Your car is cool too. Plus they are around, the difficult part is finding one without a lot of rust.

Thanks guys, I think its gonna be a real fun project. No v8 or RB series. If I do a motor swap its gonna be the L28ET from the 81-83 280zx. They make some good power and they are cheap to pick up. Throw on a bigger turbo and some upgrades and your set.

Thats nice right there. My pops used to have a 280zx. When he first bought it was white, then he had it painted black. Aww that car was so clean, so nice. I was so pissed when he sold it! I think i was 8yrs old when he sold it to get a volvo 760 Turbo Intercooled wagon. Didn't talk to him for like 2 days. Hey man enjoy the datsun brotha!! Happy you found what you were looking for.

My first real car was a Datsun 280ZX. Man I loved that thing. When I am rich, I will have many! lol

Ditched the front bumper cause it was all bent up. I think it looks better till I can find a new one.

Thanks man, I'll hit you up when I start to get into it a little more (need $$$$). Looking to do some basic stuff first like wheels, tires, springs and struts (Dont have the bills for coilovers :( ). I think I might just drive it for a while how it is and then add stuff when I have the extra cash. I need to address the rust issues first really. I priced out all the panels that I'll need plus extras and it's around $5-800. Hopefully this summer I can make some bank and take a lot of this stuff out, but... we'll see..

suspension is a PITA in these cars... if you have read up its a labor intensive job... I have to redo mine soon too... keep me posted.
