I was looking through some old pictures this morning and wondered if anyone on here ever ran 1/4 midgets or some form of open wheel racing when they were younger.

I ran 1/4 midgets from the time i was like 7 til 11 at Oaklane in Quakertown area.

...and then i graduated and drove microsprints for a year or two:

No, but that looks like it would be badass.

I ran junior dragsters from 4th grade til age 15. Then I discovered that turning corners is fun.

That looks awesome. Last time I was watching Steve Kinser drifting to another win in World of Outlaws my kid said "dad, that looks like more fun than a go kart". I gotta look into this kind of racing for my two boys. Any leads where to start?

the best starting spot is 1/4 midgets, the tri-state area has lots of tracks...some dirt, some pavement so you can really kind of fine pick what you would want to run. check out http://www.quartermidgets.com/ for more info!
