my bestfriend is trying to buy a car but everywhere he goes he needs a cosigner.
he just wants a car that is nomore than 14k and since he has some collections, they don't trust him.
any good banks that help first time car buying? i'm talking about banks because its a private sale.

Sorry but I think your sol. Buying a privately sold car is very hard to get a loan for without a cosigner if you don't have good credit.

credit unions FTW
and don't cosign it. just in case something happens, you don't want that burden. why can't his parent's cosign it?

his parents are money hungry and they lost there jobs at one point. they had a 220k house, bmw 330ci, etc. lost everything... so yea, there credit is screwed. there so desperate, its a shame. my boy doesn't want to make that same mistake, thats why he's happy with what he has. buying a normal 14k car, not 30k. has an apartment instead of a 220k mortgage. he's smart, and he's in no hurry.
he's my boy, if he can't pay it, i'll take care of it and it'll be my car. but for now, his income is $2400 a month with his wife so he's good.

i'd tell him to go to a car dealership.
I wouldn't cosign for a friend... nothing ruins a friendship like money and women...

yea i'll tell him to do that. but only thing is he wants an MSP lol. and he found one in jersey for sale. and you know how MSP's are so rare. you can't just walk into any dealership and buy one.

find a good contact at a dealership.
Have them buy the car, then work on financing for your buddy. My uncle said he's got a contact at a dealership that would do just that for me if I wanted to buy a used vette of camaro ss from anywhere in country.
Or tell him to deal with it. Not many people get the car they want as their first car.

If your buddy is interested in a MSP I know where theres a dealership where they get them in quite frequently and he could probably get financed. I know for a fact they have a orange one there now and they told me they get them in whenever they can.
