im probally getting a 1990 RX7 GTX in a couple of months. It's auto , so I will be looking to do a 5spd. swap, how much for the trans. plus install. also. the motor it has is it's original 13b. w/ 48,xxx miles. original miles thats right 48xxx original miles. So I am thinking of ways to get more out of the 13b or a good swap, possibly the GTU swap or turbo the 13b. thanks for your help

its a 13b. how much power are you looking for? If you say NA, the most you will get will be about 200, which will require taking the engine apart and porting it. The easiest and probably cheapest way to go turbo would be swapping in a TII motor, but I would also swap the whole turbo drivetrain because it is a lot stronger than whats in there now. Since it is such a low mileage car, I would keep the car the way it is and enjoy it for a while. If you are swapping in a manual trans, youll also need the driveshaft. You can pick up NA trans for fairly cheap, like $100. post some pics.

If youre interested in turboing the NA, these will help

Id say see what you can find for the turboII Swap. My friend actually just picked up a nice turboII. Its a blast. I was thinking of doing that swap at one time too, I have a bunch of sites saved. Pm me if you want them. Good luck!!
