View Full Version : Some shots of my S14 on the street, and on Track (Pocono North)
I haven't bene around much of late, so here are some pics of the hot rod from last fall.
Car is currently down (not blown up, but taken apart hehe) for some more power upgrades hehe. The quest for power and response is never ending!
So here are some new quick shots. We were bored, and left for the mall deck at about 11pm...got back home around midnight, so a really quick and impromptu thingy. I need to spend more time with my lens :D
So anywho, here are some snapshots:

Car looks good. I always find it weird when I see pics of people's cars in the parking garage at the Stroud mall lol. The pics look good but when I pull in down there the last thing I think is "hmmm what if I just go park there and snap a couple" hahaha.

Haha, those pics could have came out much better, but it was a rush job with my friend and I. Trust me, when summer hits, there have been many times where some car guys will just meet up at random in town anytime between 9-2 and b/s and ot take pics hehe. it was just starting to drizzle, so we left Dunkin and went there...worked out perfect :D

The car looks good Cody! What type of upgrades do you have coming? Any changes to Ray's B14?

Performance wise for my car:
-Finally get the Water/Meth injection working
-Got a higher and lower launch control
-External 38mm Tial on the stock manifold
-Crank Scraper, Windage Tray, and baffles
-Nismo Front Control Arm Bushings
-Gonna plate/weld in some of the suspension pieces that are open (front subframe arms, rear track beams (although I may replace them with SPL pieces)
However, and most importantly, I'm finally getting my sunroof pieces fixed hehe. They broke on track once under hard braking (the sunshade part came flying forward and fell out)....piece of crap 10 year old Nissans I tell yea ;)
Ray's B14: He's going to be getting a new tranny case and getting the entire assembly rebuilt again. Reusing the PAR straight cut gearset. Ray's funny about my car breaking, as he always says 'at least you're not disintegrating transmissions'....and to think he drives/shifts so smooth and grandpa like too! I guess it's just an issue of the stock shafts not liking the extra 250 whp over stock haha.

I'm interested in hearing more about your external gate setup on the stock manifold. IIRC Ray has/had a similar setup with the GTi-R manifold on his B14? Where are you having the manifold modified? I'm looking to do the same thing for the setup on my B15 using a Synapse Engineering gate. I guess the what I'm most interested in is who is going to be modifying the manifold and welding the internal gate shut for you.
Hopefully I'll see you guys in Vegas this year!

Ray, and most of the FWD guys got their manifolds modified by Andris Lavins (Andris on the forum IIRC). He had done quite a few of these, with no one having issues yet. Ray has a 40mm gate on his, and I think some other ones had 44's and 38's.
I would have used him, however there is a guy in Florida (Scott Avoy AKA: RS Enthalpy AKA: Secret Services) who also provides this service. It's not a question of me trusting Andris (as his work if beautiful), but more of an issue that Enahtlpy has down countless manifolds, and is priced right.
As far as welding the turbine housing and other small stuff, we have two excellent welders in town that I use. Emil's Weld Shop will probably be the one getting this job, as he's done similar jobs (the guy builds tube frame race cars, medical stands, etc etc...just a fantastic fabricator)....
Vegas will certainly be fun....we'll hafta get some Sushi ;) haha.

Does Andris still modify manifolds that you know of? I saw the manifold ChrisCar was selling and he mentioned that Andris works for Mazda Racing now (I got the feeling that he doesn't do it anymore). I wanted to see what direction you were going. I've been in contact with JM Fabrications and they have done this to man DSM manifolds, so I will probably go with them since they are local.
I don't know about Vegas Sushi! :)

Hehe thanks man
The Front bumper is actually OEM Japanese, and the lower lip is a Greddy Gracer piece for it.
The deal I had on the OEM japan rear bumper fell through....so my quest continues
