Ok, long story short, car sat for about 4 months due to the trans being blown. Bought a new trans put it in, runs fine, then one night im at a light and the motor temp sky rockets, so i pull over and let it cool down. Had my girlfriends dad come pick it up. Now i've been driving the car but the temp seemed fine didnt move at all, went to drop my girlfriend off at work still the temp is fine, then about 200 feet from my house it sky rockets right back up,so i park it for the night. Now me and my buddy (JerseyKid) take it out the one night it snowed here, it didnt overheat at all and we drove for 6 hours straight and nothing. This is why its getting confusing for me because it keeps spiking when it wants. So i thought it was the thermostat i changed that and nothing. I kept my rad cap off to see if the coolant was flowing and it was but it would shoot out of the top which from what i know shouldnt happen, could my rad be clogged? any help would be appreciated, taken any ideas.

and no my fluids are all normal from what i know of.
no bull **** try taking your thermastat out and see what happins. the second time i chaged my waterpump was because of a thermastat. and if you do do that, flush your rad and your whole cooling system.

if i had a dollar everytime one of my ka did that i probably have 6 bucks on me for gas. first replace thermostat make sure to flush out the cooling system. take used anti freeze anf feed it to your neighbor's mean dog.j/k dont do that. take off the 10mm bleeder screw turn on engine and top out radiator until full make sure to have your heat running.while filling keep a eye on the bleeder screw keep filling until there are no bubbles.tighten screw and let it run. after all that is said and done go drifting.

err yea just put in the new thermostat. I knew there had to be something bled, where exactly is the bleeder screw? or is it one of the screws for the thermo (thats what someone said) just want the car running spec before we get snow here :)

follow the top rad hose towards the engine you should see it right there.
