I havent been around in a while and just checked up on what my car could be worth and it seems like modified cars are bringing little more than stock money nowadays. It is interested although a little upsetting. Has the demand for modified cars dropped recently?

No, but who would pay more for other people's problem cars though? I would personally pay more for a stock un-molested car than I would for the same car with 2x the original HP

looks like you're and s13/s14 owner

240's are a rare car that when modified is usually worth a bit more...

however there is no appreciation for the Ka-t so they aren't reall valued as much unless you're making soem big numbers and have extensive mods to everything.

s13 ka-t cars seem to have even less value than s14's... it guess itall depends on who's buying

personally i'd prefer to spend 5K on a ka-t than a basic sr20 swapped car but most people want to be jdmcool.

if you've got a less common swap it's always worth a bit more (rb, vg, 2jz etc...)

i'm no professional, this is just what i see in the market.

It is not the fact that my car has 2x the power but more so the sheer value in parts. It used to be people reconized that and seemed to factor it in. I geuss it has just changed recently. I have had offers for 15,000 for my car and i would not dream of getting that now

I agree. When I was buying my Supra I only wanted a stock one or a slightly modded one. I didn't want 700hp. Well for one thing, it could have something wrong with it. Secondly, I didn't want to wrap myself around a tree lol
