well I got them done by a friend yesterday. I am an idiot and forgot that I still have to get the car inspected so I either have to take it off or find a private place that will do it. Oh well to late now, lol.

i know in pa, there is nothing in the inspection book that says the windows up the top of a convertable must be up. im not sure what jerseys laws or any of that is regarding inspection.

Looks very good.Window tints doesn't fail for pa inspection as long as its not on the windshield. I already told you on the other thread if you need inspections/emissions I can do it for you, I wanna check out the car too. I work at a dealership it will all be legit.

yeah i dont think you have to have the top up for inspection. i'll run it through once to see if it slided past if not i'll take it off and re-do it. no biggie.

Yeah it does. You can have tint on the rear windows but not on the front two.

I bought a set of extra glass for around $20ish a piece at a u-pull-it. Not sure how expensive it will be for a S2000, but it would probably be still worth it in the end so you can pass inspections and avoid paying fines by showing that you have the tint "removed".

Yeah, that would be an easier way to do it, but he drives an s2000, and good luck finding one in a junk yard.

good luck finding a place to pass you in NJ if you have tints. not a lot of shops do it if you have tint. major fine if caught.

tint...on a convertible... whats the point since the tops gonna be down when you drive it, and you also store it in a garage when not being driven? :-p

do you know how much tint would affect a radar detector? specifically a V1? I was gonna get my s2k tinted but I have the V1, so I backed out...

I know it's illegal to have the tint but as far as I know you can't get failed for it. I actually have my car in for inspection today with 30% tint and it passed.

i live in NJ, different laws sir. nah its 15% its just the windows are so small and it wasnt sunny out is why it looks so dark.
