Glad I didnt spend the extra money on the 360 One.

Personally I dont really care all that much a movie is a movie I dont need a 600 dollar dvd player to watch it.

I really don't think anyone wins in this except Sony. I wish the IEEE would regulate some of these proprietary and licensed formats more, but I understand it is tough to develop new tech like this. We the consumers just have high media prices, and expensive players to deal with now. There is only one winner in monopolies.

I don't have an HD receiver, and I probably won't while I'm renting a room at this house, so the next best thing is a PS3 and some games.

But this weekend I'm buying the sound system for it...

i just watched my first blue ray dvd on my ps3 today....absolutely amazing picture in high def. i have a 32" high def. olevia. the picture for my ps3 is also amazing in high def.

Blu-Ray coming out ahead was probably the only way I would go out and get a PS3. There aren't really any PS3 games I would be willing to buy but it seems I have a 42inch plasma that is dying to rock some High Def movies lol. At least now you know if you pick a Blu-Ray machine you're not wasting your money.

Yeah I agree I bought a Ps3 about a month ago and still havent bought any games, only game I would buy now was Drakes Fortune but $60 :( Might wait till it goes down in price. I just bought it for Gt5 though haha
